Say goodbye to Jessica....

This is my last entry in the saga of my Jessica Simpson blog. I hope the best for her, her career and love life! I had a great time writing about Jessica and I'm sure that I will stay posted on her where-abouts although I won't be writing about them anymore. Jessica Simpson has reportedly hired a high-powered divorce attorney to handle her split with husband Nick Lachey- Robert Kaufman, the same guy who represented Jennifer Aniston in her divorce from Brad Pitt earlier this year. Nick is not filing for divorce although Jessica is said to be the one who is going to do so... with no pre-nuptial agreement signed Nick might just get away with half of Jessica's millions although Joe Simpson claims she doesn't have as much as people think. Hmmm, who knows, guess we'll have to wait to find out.

Looks like she and Gloria got caught wearing the same dress at a fundraiser in Miami this past week. Who looks better??? (ahem, Jessica of course)

She may be seperated from her hubby but she's still got the look. Jessica Simpson won VH1's Who's Big 2005 Fashion Icon award last night in Los Angeles. She was in the runnings with pop singer Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria star of Desperate Housewives and Kevin Federline(???) ew. Maybe that doesn't show much for this award show however, I am happy for Jessica that she has something to make her smile.

"I think their lives were pulling them in different directions, and they kind of had different ideas of what their marriage should be"~ a source close to Lachey. As information is still being released as to what is going on with the couple, some have tried to poke fun of our favorite ex-newly weds with crude jokes and comments on websites throughout the net. I hardly think a seperation is something to joke about but I guess those people doing so have no respect for the fact that Nick and Jessica are as human as you and me...

The gossip shows have gone crazy reporting on the split. The two sides of the split goes like this: Jessica says that after they decided to split, Jessica asked Nick to come to Texas to work things out and he said no. Nick's side of the story says that on the way home from Thanksgiving Jessica said, "its just not working out." Its my thought that Jessica's father is to blame... Joe Simpson is wierd, that is really the best way to describe him. Sources claim that Nick loves his wife and doesn't want to divorce. I wish them the best and hope they can work things out and not divorce.

Days after the announced seperation, Jessica left a tanning salon flashing her ring-less left hand to the cameras. The couple who had only been married for three years decided to file for seperation soon before Thanksgiving and according to some sources it was Jessica who initiated it. I dont know how true that is but as far as I'm concerned, the split is a split no matter who decided it. It's a shame that a couple would have to go through something as difficult and tramatic as a divorce while the world watches through cameras and rumors. Imagine yourself in her shoes....

The couple did not sign a pre-nup so it will be interesting to see how they will go about splitting the $5 million of Simpsons worth. Lachey's only single album called SoulO was a bomb and Jessica has been the bread winner in the relationship thus far. It's so sad to see the NewlyWeds are through although as of now the split is only a seperation, only time will tell if a divorce is in the works. For those of you, like me, who want to remember the couple as they used to be...tear... the final season of Newlyweds is due out on DVD Dec. 6.

I am utterly speechless, without words, cannot come to bring myself to write this but as you may or may not know... Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, although denying their troubles until now, have jointly filed for DIVORCE. Count them into the 50 million Americans who divorce each year. If I could post a picture of a very sad face with tears streaming down...this is where I would put it. At this point in time I cannot go into details as I am still in shock as I'm sure many of you are. Damn those tabloids for being right. Stay tuned for updates and later, the telling story and now history of the America's second favorite couple (aside from Jen and Brad) Nick and Jessica.

For all you non-believers ( those that think Jess and Nick aren't together anymore because for some reason you consider US Weekly the bible) the couple was at Mary Kate and Ashley's launch party in L.A. on November 16th for a new line of denim called Genetic Demim. The two were together all night, like two peas in pod. I searched to try to find a link or some pics of the new line of denim but was not successful... but oh well, J jeans are better anyhow, right?

While visiting Africa, Jessica gathered with the children of Nakuru and patients of Operation Smile, a foundation dedicated to helping facially deformed children. Jessica served as a goodwill ambassador. She not only got the chance to support under privelaged children of Africa, but also allowed herself to escape the crazy pop star/celebrity lifestyle. Jessica grows a smile on her face when she pulls out her Mac laptop to play completed tracks from the upcoming album she's calling And the Band Plays On (due next spring). The album is influenced by everything from hip-hop to country to swing music. Jessica's in therapy...
She's like any normal human being, except she has paparazzi chasing her down the street in her Range Rover. Jessica told Teen People in its December issue that she has been seeing a therapist to deal with her hectic year- the rumors, the movies, the fame. Who can blame her? She also looks for relief in writing in her diary which she does religiously. As for her marriage, she expressed that "Hopefully mine and Nick's story will continue for the rest of our lives, what we vowed, through sickness and in health." She also is turning to her sister Ashlee for help whom she claims she is closer with than ever. Look for the sisters in the Dec-Jan. issue of Teen People which should be out on stands this month.

Exclusive Interview with Nick proves the marriage is still on...
After returning from their trip to Europe, Nick did an interview with Star Magazine to describe their amazing vacation. After touring Florence and several small Tuscan towns, the couple was fascinated with the country seeing that it was the couples first visit there. They ended their celebration by renting a romantic villa on the beach where Nick claims there was "no shortage of romance!" Jessicas father Joe also is supporting the couple and denying rumors "They are together, they love each other. Do they fight? Absolutely."

Yesterday while perusing through the magazine section at Happy Harry's on Main Street, I came across InTouch Weekly which featured Jessica and Nick's vacation in Europe ( the one that they went to London for in my previous blog). Apparently although all the rumors have been saying they are split and most people honestly believe it, this article proved them wrong. The Simpsons were celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary in Europe sightseeing and staying a $3000 a night hotel. Hopefully now that this article is out and pics of them together smiling are available, people will realize that the couple is still going strong. Happy Anniversary Jessica!

RUMOR ALERT!!!

The rumor mill has been grinding like crazy with rumors of a split. Nothing new right... seems like every week the cover stories in bold writing shows the couple on the verge of a break up. Honestly, I don't know where they come up with this stuff but its getting old. Anyhow, the tabloids and gossip magazines are spreading the news like wildfire that Jessica and Nick have split up. Usually I ignore these accusations since they are usually fabricated and like I said before, extremely annoying to hear every week. This week three magazines, US weekly, Star and InTouch claimed the couple is seperated and I even watched a program on E! that even questioned the status of the Simpson-Lachey marriage. Sources say that every since NewlyWeds portrayed the couple, fights and all that writers love to speak of their troubles. My opinion is that every couple has issues in a new marriage, hello!? After reading an article in People, the couple's rep says that the couple is still together and that rumors are false, pictured here in London's Heathrow Airport about to go on vaca. So in conclusion, this story is getting really old... come up with something new please Star Magazine! However, I will leave you on this note... when Brad and Jen first broke up the tabloids were right on point and I just didn't/couldn't believe the all- American couple was done. Let's hope that the stories are really untrue and the claims are just the money hungry tabloids way of selling this weeks issue. I'll tell you one thing, I'm glad I'm not a celebrity because the combination of paparazzi and tabloid rumors combined, I'd be insane and pulling my hair out.

Jessica Simpson juggles her iced coffee, cell phone and car keys while walking as she shopped solo in Beverly Hills this past Thursday. Jessica's been known to drop thousands on shopping sprees. She's a huge trendsetter for women around the world. For example, after she purchased and wore a shawl designed by Cecil De Bucourt in Argentina, the shawls were being ordered like crazy by women wanting to have the same clothing as Jessica. The designer said she was producing more than triple the amount of shawls after Jessica performed in her multi-colored knit.

Jessica Simpson and her lil sis Ashlee are locked in sisterly love! Ashlee has a new cd and will be turning 21 with sister Jessica there by her side to support her. The two have also focused their efforts on donations for Hurricane Katrina Relief.

In related news, Jessica is participating in a charity event I believe I mentioned a few blogs ago. Well recently I found out that it will take place on October 15 at the Empire Ballroom (this website is really cool so check it out) in Las Vegas. UBid, one of the sponsers of the event will be holding an online auction with tons of items like... you won't believe it... the Daisy Duke shorts actually worn in the Dukes of Hazzards movie by Jessica and signed by her as well!! It will be interesting to see how much those little jean shorts go for! Tickets for the star studded event will cost $200 (which is obviously donated to Katrina) and will include not only the luxury items but entertainment from the hottest musicians in the celeb world.

Having spent months there, Jessica has felt a connection and a need to help those affected by the hurricane. So if it isn't enough that Jessica has her music, movies and line of edible beauty products, she now has her own line of jeans. What's unique about her denim is that its sold at Fashion Bug which you probably wouldnt have expected from a celebrity ( think P.Diddy and Sean John line that costs $$$) and it's for plus size women and juniors. How nice of her to think of those who can't obtain her hardly less than perfect bod. "Old west" inspired the JS jeans are featured in stretch, dark, light, cowboy, western, star and dot, and more. The jeans range from as cheap at forty dollars to fifty-nine dollars.
She also has a line of juniors and kids clothing that is sold under her brand name JS and Sweet Kisses and are supposedly in stores liked Federated, Sears and JCPenny.

Yesterday to kick off the first Sunday NFL game, Jessica Simpson and her husband Nick Lachey sang "America the Beautiful" at the Redskins FedEx home field in Landover, Maryland. Their sincronized voices were beamed to every NFL stadium so that all the players could hear and see the performance. Jessica, as usual, was awesome and looked stunning.
Nick and Jessica have been together for almost three years and are still going strong. They aren't having any serious troubles despite the US Weekly and Star magazines tales of infedelity and scandal. Jessica expressed in an article on her website that there are two things that really make her angry- when people call her stupid and when they speak badly of her relationship with Nick. Their MTV show Newlyweds shows how well the two mesh together. A new season of Newlyweds will be starting soon although the date is still TBA.
Recently Jess and Nick were voted People's Most Beautiful Couples 2005 because of the obvious fact that are beautiful and are always in the watchful eye of the American public. This post was dedicated to Nick and Jessica because its always fun to hear about the two however the next one we'll be sure to get back to the real reason for this blog... Jessica.

We all knew that tuna was tuna...until that faithful day when she asked the question, "i know it says tuna but...". Some of you may have stopped twice to think about this question while others, mostly everyone, just shook their heads. This was truly her blondest moment. Fortunately for Jessica, that little question had the American viewers of her show Newly Weds hooked. Critics called her stupid but in my opinion, I would have loved to be her because she was and still is laughing all the way to the bank.

To start things off, here is her website, which has pictures and a bio about her climb to stardome so that I dont have to go into details of her history and besides, I'm pretty sure if you're up to date on pop culture you know her by now. As a 21 year old female I can honestly say that I find Jessica Simpson to be one of the most attractive celebrity/artists/actress (if you consider her role in Dukes of Hazzards significant). She's the type of girl that we females love to hate for being so pretty. I am usually the type to hate women like her for looking that way but for some reason, Jessica Simpson has remained on my "wish to be" list. After seeing her newest video, "These boots are made for walking" I told my roommate that I wanted to have her video on repeat 24/7 to motivate me to work out. But all kidding aside, people love to call her a dumb blonde but I believe she is in fact intelligent and I admire her successes thus far considering she is a mere 25 years old. In less than three years she has managed to turn her singing career into a hit reality show, developed her own line of beauty products (that are edible mind you), and her own clothing line. Now that you're aware of my should we say,"slight obsession", stay tuned for details about her fabulous & blonde life.
