Say goodbye to Jessica....

This is my last entry in the saga of my Jessica Simpson blog. I hope the best for her, her career and love life! I had a great time writing about Jessica and I'm sure that I will stay posted on her where-abouts although I won't be writing about them anymore. Jessica Simpson has reportedly hired a high-powered divorce attorney to handle her split with husband Nick Lachey- Robert Kaufman, the same guy who represented Jennifer Aniston in her divorce from Brad Pitt earlier this year. Nick is not filing for divorce although Jessica is said to be the one who is going to do so... with no pre-nuptial agreement signed Nick might just get away with half of Jessica's millions although Joe Simpson claims she doesn't have as much as people think. Hmmm, who knows, guess we'll have to wait to find out.

Looks like she and Gloria got caught wearing the same dress at a fundraiser in Miami this past week. Who looks better??? (ahem, Jessica of course)

She may be seperated from her hubby but she's still got the look. Jessica Simpson won VH1's Who's Big 2005 Fashion Icon award last night in Los Angeles. She was in the runnings with pop singer Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria star of Desperate Housewives and Kevin Federline(???) ew. Maybe that doesn't show much for this award show however, I am happy for Jessica that she has something to make her smile.

"I think their lives were pulling them in different directions, and they kind of had different ideas of what their marriage should be"~ a source close to Lachey. As information is still being released as to what is going on with the couple, some have tried to poke fun of our favorite ex-newly weds with crude jokes and comments on websites throughout the net. I hardly think a seperation is something to joke about but I guess those people doing so have no respect for the fact that Nick and Jessica are as human as you and me...

The gossip shows have gone crazy reporting on the split. The two sides of the split goes like this: Jessica says that after they decided to split, Jessica asked Nick to come to Texas to work things out and he said no. Nick's side of the story says that on the way home from Thanksgiving Jessica said, "its just not working out." Its my thought that Jessica's father is to blame... Joe Simpson is wierd, that is really the best way to describe him. Sources claim that Nick loves his wife and doesn't want to divorce. I wish them the best and hope they can work things out and not divorce.

Days after the announced seperation, Jessica left a tanning salon flashing her ring-less left hand to the cameras. The couple who had only been married for three years decided to file for seperation soon before Thanksgiving and according to some sources it was Jessica who initiated it. I dont know how true that is but as far as I'm concerned, the split is a split no matter who decided it. It's a shame that a couple would have to go through something as difficult and tramatic as a divorce while the world watches through cameras and rumors. Imagine yourself in her shoes....

The couple did not sign a pre-nup so it will be interesting to see how they will go about splitting the $5 million of Simpsons worth. Lachey's only single album called SoulO was a bomb and Jessica has been the bread winner in the relationship thus far. It's so sad to see the NewlyWeds are through although as of now the split is only a seperation, only time will tell if a divorce is in the works. For those of you, like me, who want to remember the couple as they used to be...tear... the final season of Newlyweds is due out on DVD Dec. 6.

I am utterly speechless, without words, cannot come to bring myself to write this but as you may or may not know... Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, although denying their troubles until now, have jointly filed for DIVORCE. Count them into the 50 million Americans who divorce each year. If I could post a picture of a very sad face with tears streaming down...this is where I would put it. At this point in time I cannot go into details as I am still in shock as I'm sure many of you are. Damn those tabloids for being right. Stay tuned for updates and later, the telling story and now history of the America's second favorite couple (aside from Jen and Brad) Nick and Jessica.
